Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of HAM ("House Allowance Monitor"). By creating an account, you agree to them. This is a plain-language summary, not a substitute for legal advice.

The service

HAM is a household finance tracking tool — expenses, loans/EMIs, credit cards, and savings goals — provided on a subscription basis. New accounts get a 7-day free trial; after that, continued access requires an active paid subscription.

Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• One account is intended for one household — the "users" you add within your account represent household members, not separate customers.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter. HAM calculates and displays figures based on what you input; it does not independently verify amounts against your bank, loan provider, or card issuer.

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly at the price shown at checkout (currently ₹149/month, may vary by the currency your account uses), processed via Razorpay.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from Settings; you'll retain access through the end of the period you've already paid for.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access another account or another household's data without authorization.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use automated means to scrape or overload the service outside of normal use.

No financial advice

HAM is a tracking and calculation tool. Figures like debt-to-income ratio, savings recommendations, and financial health scores are automated estimates based on the data you enter — they are informational only and do not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice. For decisions with real financial consequences, please consult a qualified professional.

Availability

We aim to keep HAM available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, and rarely, things may break — we'll do our best to fix issues promptly.

Limitation of liability

HAM is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made based on figures calculated by the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or attempt to compromise the security of the service.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify active users by email where appropriate.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
